On May 30, 2026, Br. Melchor Piedad Iyas, TOR pronounced is final profession of religious vows on the hands of Fr. Alejandro P. Isare, TOR, Delegation Minister and delegated by the Minister General, Fr. Amando Trujillo-Cano, TOR. The rite was done within the Holy Eucharist which was started at 9:30 in the morning at St. Francis Friary, Sta. Filomena, Iligan City.

Br. Melchor P. Iyas was born in Punta Blanca, Manokan, Zamboanga del Norte (Eastern Mindanao) on August 22, 1987. He finished his secondary school at Manokan National High School and finished philosophy at the Rogationist Seminary College in 2018 Cebu City under the Sylvestrine Benedictine monks of Carmen, Cebu. He underwent his TOR aspirancy formation in 2019, proceeded to Davao for his postulancy and entered the TOR novitiate in June 2021. Now he is in his fifth year in theological studies at the St. Alphonsus Theological and Mission Institute (SATMI) at Bajada, Davao City.
